How to lose those Pounds in London

*updated!! scroll down!!!*

and at the same time, gain 'pounds' on the weighing scale. I want to show my shopping haul from this trip so I'm going to start from the day before my departure!
The day before I left is also the day I finally found my hair bun decent enough to go public (-_- ; ) Been trying to do it since day 2 but always ended up not happy with it! (luckily I went for the 'poppy streetstyle' look that day! saw a few shoppers and an ad in Topshop with a hairbun as well but it's like the 'primitive' type lol the one u see in Japan 10yrs ago or sth -_- )
Honestly speaking, I find London rather boring...for a tourist. Oh well, never expected it to be super amazing, but I kind of promised HJM that I'm going to visit her some day.. so yea.
Anyway I enjoy the girlie things we did tho.. Ranking at No.1 is of course, phototaking! Minutes before this photo was taken, the owner of the cafe invited himself to join me in my photos (-_- ; ) (yes like that guy on the street in Paris)
The crepe there was awesome though! I think this is mushroom and ham... (wow it's only been 2 weeks or something and my memory's already fading...imagine if I wrote this even later, my sentence is going to be like: "This is a crepe.")
Err.. this is the sweet one, special menu. It has oreo, kitkat, butterfingers, and other similar stuff in it. Sounds horrible eh. WHAT WERE WE THINKING!!! I blame it on SY because she actually said it might taste nice. And I blame myself for being adventurous and over-optimisitc (T_T) Should have stick to hazelnut with ice-cream (T___T) Actually before we decided to stick to crepes for breakfast, we were quite tempted to go to this other French cafe named "Paul". I've been to the one in Shanghai and it was really good!
So our plan was to go back to Paul for some cakes after breakfast (how greedy) but we felt a little fat were really full after the crepes so head straight to Oxford Street instead..and ended up buying cupcakes at the largest Topshop in London (yet to be verified HAHA).
YES. of all things, this is what we bought (-___- ; ) The little stars with chocolate is mine and the Red Velvet at the back is SY's! Hers was ok whereas mine was SUPER YUMMILICIOUS!!!! Oh and we got scolded by the staff for trying to take photos of the cupcakes at the counter (-_- ; )
But that's after we took the above photo (actually a few before we are okay with this one) and ran away LOL. I totally love this particular TOPSHOP outlet - it's like a departmental store with salons and cafes in it! They have clothes from other brands as well and there is this dress that I quite like but I THINK they got it from the cheap suppliers in Asia so I didn't purchase it immediately (what's new?). Planned to go back if I didnt get anything in the end but we never did!
And then suddenly it's time for our afternoon tea!! But we'd only managed to visit 2 shops by then - Topship and H&M *GASPS!!! Actually I don't know we spent so much time in those two, especially when we ended up not buying anything (except cupcakes).
It was supposed to be a shopping day but I don't know why we ended up eating more...But luckily this is not my first time having afternoon tea in the UK.
Because the afternoon tea set at Radisson Hotel.... is not very impressive.
Normally this is my favorite part but all of these were just okay...I think there's ginger cake in it as well *pukes
Except maybe this, Victoria Sponge... but it's not as good as the one we had in Cotswold!
The subject matter is supposed to be me (-_- ; )
We really didn't do much after that, I can only recalled 2 other shops that we went to - PRIMARK, The Selfridges, because we actually bought something there mwahhaa
Then we found our favorite place for phototaking in London - McDonalds!! Because nobody bothers to stare/judge us! (or that's what we'd like to believe)
See how the group at the back was very engrossed in their conversation!
Shamelessly took like 5 photos with the same pose! Paradise!

I really wanted to take a photo on the street with the Union Jack flag but i forgot that I wanted the flag so ended up with phtoos like these.

Finished the day off with at a pub near SY's house. Actually we were supposed to go to another pub and SY's bf, V asked us to go 'check it out' first before he parked the car. We were like, "PFFFT what is there to check out!" Then later we went into said pub but ended up coming out immediately because it's full of middle-aged guys and I said in chinese, ooo that's why he asked us to 'check it out'.  He caught the 'check it out' part and said, NOW U KNOWWW. Lesson of the day, er, always check whether the pub has a happening crowd (-_- ; )
Most of the time we aren't happy with V's photography skill so we tried to take charge :P
In the end we (excluding V because he still think he's the best) realised that the best photographer is Mr.Self-Timer. By the way did you notice I had 3 different hairstyles throughout the day? hehehe it's not easy to maintain that hair bun (T_T)
I think high (slightly side) ponytail is my favorite hairstyle that day hehe
WOE ARE WE!!!! We'd been pigging out the whole day and yet we had kebab for supper (T___T)
Obviously we didn't shop much that day and after much discussion *ahem* we decided to cancel the let's-go-take-photos-at-other-tourist-attraction-which-I-haven't-been-yet and opted for shopping instead. C'mon, who's interested in sight-seeing in London?
We decided to stay in Croydon, which is where SY lives, as we had to go to the airport that night. But the shops in Croydon are more or less the same in Oxford! There isn't much to see there because it's like a surburb so I think that's why SY suggesting me to take a photo with this clock tower.
Went to a pub for lunch because at that point I hadn't try any pub food yet.
Pretending somebody else took this for us. Oh and as you can see SY was wearing something thin and I was wearing shorts with knee-high socks, because we thought pfft we'll only be out during daytime so how cold can it be right? WRONG!!! Somehow it was really cold and windy that day, so whenever we were outside we walked like rats  (-_- ; )
I wore leggings the day before and it was really troublesome whenever I wanted to try on shoes so I changed to socks that day thinking it'd be easier (shoes were on the "itinerary" -.- ) but it was my biggest mistake ever! (at least for that day) Imagine having to take off knee high socks whenever you want to try on shoes (-__- ; ) Should have wore that cropped leggings instead *smacks forehead
Back to pub food. I never knew that Tikka Masala is a typical pub food! Now, I knew that curry is really common in London, apparently people in London have curry at least once in a week, but I didn't know it has become a staple food hehe. Oh and you're supposed to eat it with that sweet sauce but it was weird so we didn't.
Our very own version of Bangers and "mash" - Both of us don't like potatoes unless it comes in french fries from so we asked them to change it for us hehe. The sausages were really dry though, even with the sauce, maybe that's why they eat it with the moist mash. But we did it the Malaysian way - we eat it with Tikka Masala mwhahhaa and it tasted really good!
Shops close early on Sundays so we were forced to go home! But I managed to get this cute bag from Primark a few seconds before it closed for a really cheap price!! The quality is pretty good too! SY's got one too but in teal! By the way this is a better version of this photo.
The first one looks something like this, I cropped out the right part of the photo to make it look more decent. V was very layan and took this photo from where he was sitting w/o even looking (-__- ; ) Obviously we weren't going to agree with such quality so we went all over the house to look for a better spot and from the fact that SY even changed her clothes just to match her bag, you can tell how serious we were.
Not only did we get the same bags in different colors, we bought the same shoes as well!! From Primark too! *GASPS. I normally shake my head when I see girls buying the same thing, but in our defense, 1) the bags are in different colors which suit our respective style, 2) the shoes are really cute and we live in different countries so it's alright! :P
Oh I also bought this tote bag from Cath Kidson which is basically a piece of fabric sewn into a bag, but guess what the retail price in Singapore is around SGD50! The price in UK is slightly cheaper but still too expensive for a piece of fabric bag... Oh well. (btw don't you think this is pose is really awkward haha)
These are some of my other purchases, I shopped the most in Vienna though. Spent like 100+Euros in H&M alone *sigh And YES, I bought an umbrella in Europe (-__- ; )
And deng deng deng!! My most expensive purchase, and I didn't buy it for myself *sigh
